A printed area that extends beyond the trimmed edge of the page. Setting up the file with .25″ bleed is standard for printing. Bleed is important because it creates a little “wiggle” room for the finishing process.

Crop Marks (or Trim Marks) are marks placed on the printed sheet to indicate where the cuts should be made.
